17. Uniting Church, 1908, Hill Street

Built as the Methodist Church by Mr C.G. Cooper with bricks made and fired in a specially built kiln on Burial Ground Gully. It features a turreted entrance porch and trinity windows supporting coloured lead-light glass. Perhaps the cracks in the wall have been made by God moving in mysterious ways.

19. Police Residence, 1891, Hill Street

This Police residence was built close to the local Court House for convenience. A prisoner lock-up is external at the rear of the residence. No doubt there were plenty of late night sing-a-longs in the cold cells... accompanied by percussion!
